Bowie CLAW Pets with Santa
For those of us with human children, one
favorite activity of the entire year is the day you get to take your offspring
to the mall to see Santa.
Your kids
are so excited, and you truly look forward to seeing one of your kids
whispering to Santa, what they want for Christmas from the bottom of their
heart.
Really, if
you look at it honestly, this moment is for you, as an homage to your childhood
years when you got to visit with Santa, get a photograph with him, and share
with him your hopes and dreams for Christmas morning.
Even though
you know your pet has no idea who Santa really is, your association with him is
obviously very special to you. You know
that you want photographs that are meaningful to you, you want something different;
a holiday celebration.
You want
memories that will last YOUR LIFETIME.
We are
gearing up with Bowie CLAW once more for our FIFTH ANNUAL Pets with Santa
Event, to be held on November 9, from 12-4.
Appointments are HIGHLY encouraged, however, walk-ins are welcome.
This isn’t a
quick photo with Santa, this is an experience for you to enjoy watching and
participating in. The session is as
much entertainment for you as having these photographs reminding you of your
sweet fur baby at this time in his or her life.
We’ll begin
with cuddles with Santa, and having a good time discussing what a “gud boi” or “pritty
gurl” your pet is. Naturally, your baby
is on the Nice List. Your doggo then
gets to “help wrap gifts” and show off that mischievous side. Finally, share a snack of whipped cream and
treats that ends up being a hilarious moment that you know you’ll love.
You’ll see
your photographs directly after your session to choose your favorite digital
photograph you receive with your $20 donation.
After that, you’ll get to choose gift prints, packages, custom cards and
ornaments to purchase, and proceeds from your purchase will go towards Bowie
CLAW as well.

give you instructions from that point on what to do to prepare for your
session.
Your guide
to prepping for your Pets with Santa Experience
1. Do you love to dress up your pet? Now is the
time to find something adorable that sums up who your pet is. We have basic clothing props for pets, but if
you want something special, please bring it along.
2. Does your dog have special nutrition
requirements? We do use grocery store
whipped cream, Milk Bones, and peanut butter, but if there’s something special
that your pet requires, please bring that with you. We use these to elicit fun photographs of
your cuties being cheeky and amusing.
3. Does your dog have a trick that you’d
love to see in the photographs with Santa?
We’d love to capture that for you!
We’ll find out over the phone what is important to you.
4. To look their very best, brushing or
getting them groomed is your best option.
Even though 10 minutes sounds like a long time, it really isn’t, so
please prep for this. Other things to
look for are: tear duct stains, drool
stains, and mats. Retouching will be
minimal, and we are not responsible for eliminating these stains.
5. Please arrive 30 minutes early. In the case that you have more than 2 dogs,
please have someone that your dog knows to help you keep them under
control. Ask your friend to run around
with your dogs outside while you come in, fill out your paperwork, and give
your donation to the Bowie CLAW representative.
This is important because it will tire them out. After you’ve done this, have them come inside
and sniff around the brewery for a bit, as there will be other dogs (and maybe
cats) present, and this will help them to settle down. When it’s your turn, one of our volunteers
will come to get you, and escort you down the hall to where our set with Santa
is.
6. We will get right to work when you
come in, so any props or costumes that you want us to use should be ready.
7. After your session is over, you’ll be
escorted into the next room where you’ll see your photographs right away, and
make your order. It’s a good idea to ask
your friend to take the dogs outside while you make your selection.
You’ll choose your donation photograph first, which will be
printable in a 4x6 size. We have
different gift print packages available, ranging from $49.95 to $99.95. You can
add on custom holiday cards, mugs, and ornaments to your packages. When you purchase one of our packages, 10% of
the proceeds goes back to Bowie CLAW. We
will also have a gift certificate for purchase for a future family photography
experience and an amount towards that you can spend towards artwork. The certificate is worth $400, for only
$75. $50 of that goes to Bowie CLAW.
We also offer digital packages. Please note that all digital packages are
printable up to a 4x6 photograph.
8. After your order, your choices will be minimally
retouched and cropped to the sizes ordered, with watermarked versions sent to
you for your review. This will be done
by Wednesday, November 13, and as soon as I hear back from you, your order will
be placed into the print queue. If I don’t
hear back from you by November 15, I will assume that you are pleased and will
order your prints and other products. I
should receive your prints by November 20th, and put them out in the
mail by November 22.
9. All purchases are sent by Priority Mail™, and
the price includes shipping and handling, with padded packaging, starting at $12,
depending on size of prints ordered.
10. Reorders
are available, and you can receive them before Christmas if you order before
December 18.
