Acting/Modeling Head-Shots

Did you know that all actors and models need to update their professional head-shots often?  This should be done at least every six months, especially when they are children.  The purpose of a good head-shot is to market yourself as someone who is good at what he or she does, and communicate in one image, what he or she is capable of doing. A head-shot should be composed well, lit well, and post processed naturally.

What does all of this mean? Not all head-shots are created equally.  Interview the photographer, find out what he or she knows about having head-shots done.  Talk about what it is you do, the appearance you are trying to make, and what you should wear.  Do you need hair and makeup done?  Does the photographer work with a makeup artist?

There are so many more questions, but these are some good ones with which to start.

Belinda King of Bride To Be Beauty (www.bridetobebeauty.com) is an accomplished hair and makeup artist, one of the three with whom I'm happy to work.  She is the artist who worked with these two lovely ladies, and they look absolutely gorgeous.
