Do You Or Someone You Care About Have A Newborn Baby?

Hi Friends and Fans!

I need help.  I need help finding a very cute newborn baby in the area.  I need help in modeling this adorable hat by Kim Green of My Crimson Clover.

When a person comes in to model for me, I want to make sure that there is a complete interest in the session as well.  Newborn sessions are a time investment for the day, plus, lunch is included!  With that said, Here's what I offer for the model.

The session fee is $50, which is normally $200.  You receive a beautiful 8x10 portrait of your choice, PLUS you receive 25% off whatever you purchase.

But wait, there's more!

If after your 25% savings, you have at least $200 in purchases, you'll receive an extra $50 print credit.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to have your baby photographed and to have those memories for forever.

It's easy to do it.  Just pick up the phone and call me at 240-245-0416.  I'd like to get this done in the next 2 weeks.  The perfect age for newborn portraits is 2-14 days old.

Please share this with everyone you know!

Here are some images that I photographed last year with Kim's products:

Thanks so much for your assistance!  It is much appreciated!

Acting/Modeling Head-Shots

Did you know that all actors and models need to update their professional head-shots often?  This should be done at least every six months, especially when they are children.  The purpose of a good head-shot is to market yourself as someone who is good at what he or she does, and communicate in one image, what he or she is capable of doing. A head-shot should be composed well, lit well, and post processed naturally.

What does all of this mean? Not all head-shots are created equally.  Interview the photographer, find out what he or she knows about having head-shots done.  Talk about what it is you do, the appearance you are trying to make, and what you should wear.  Do you need hair and makeup done?  Does the photographer work with a makeup artist?

There are so many more questions, but these are some good ones with which to start.

Belinda King of Bride To Be Beauty (www.bridetobebeauty.com) is an accomplished hair and makeup artist, one of the three with whom I'm happy to work.  She is the artist who worked with these two lovely ladies, and they look absolutely gorgeous.

3 reasons why you should choose Honey Bee Photography to photograph your family now!

Hi there!  Welcome to the new and improved blog for Honey Bee Photography.

Have you had your family portraits done in the last couple of years, and you were just not thrilled to pieces, *NOT IN LOVE*, with your portraits or images, and they have sat in the original envelope in your drawer or on your hard drive?

My goal is to help you with planning your session, help you feel comfortable, and have fun, in front of my lens, and be so excited about your images that you just cannot wait to display them in your home and office!
Here are 3 GREAT reasons why you should choose Honey Bee Photography to photograph your next family portraits:

1.  I help you plan your session with choosing location, style, colors, clothes, and where you want to display your portraits in a consultation in your own home!  I know what you are saying... what photographer does THAT?  I do!  Visiting you in your home environment helps you to feel comfortable in meeting and getting to know me, and I, you; I also get to see how you decorate your home, what your favorite colors are, and see what kind of space you have for a display so I can help you use your portraits as home decor.

2,  My photography sessions are packed with FUN.  Have you been to a studio where the photographer just stands there and is so boring, that your kids go on strike about having portraits done ever again?  I interact with my clients, give you plenty of direction and we all have fun, too!  It's been my experience that men dislike have their picture taken, but I would say that most of the husbands I've photographed agree that working with me and my silly antics was pretty painless.

3.  I show you your images in person, in high resolution on my computer.  You don't have to squint at tiny, watermarked images to figure out which ones you actually want to order. As a full-service portrait photographer, one of the best thrills is to be right there with you as you view your images for the very first time.  I offer a tears-of-joy guarantee, so if you aren't in love with your images (not just one or two, but all of them!), I will give you your session fee and a complementary 11x14 portrait as my gift to you.

Not convinced?  Here are some testimonials:

From Renee Fernandez:

"My sister really wanted me to have maternity photos done, as this was our third and last and a girl, finally. So I finally gave in. We did mostly of me and my husband. He's really thrilled to finally have a girl. I really loved all of the images that Megan did, but the one with the satin flowing behind me.... THAT made me cry with joy. I LOVE that image and we ordered it in a 20x24 canvas. I've never had such a beautiful portrait of just myself done like that."

Megan with Honey Bee Photography photographed our family at Kinder Farm Park.  We have 3 very busy boys, but she managed to keep them engaged and capture really great expressions.  We are thrilled with our portraits and will definitely call her again.  Julie Butler of Severna, MD.

“We met Megan at a formal event that we were attending, and were thrilled with those portraits so much, that we hired her to do a three generation session when my in-laws came to visit from over-seas.  We highly recommend her for so many reasons.  She got all of our children to laugh and have fun, and she captured it every single time.  She helped us adults to feel comfortable in front of the camera, because despite being on time and ready, we were still a little stressed. Her conversation and easy demeanor helped us to relax and have fun, so we could smile and look natural. Her prices are extremely reasonable for all of the work that she puts into her images, including the retouching and skin softening (requested by my mother-in-law). We are so pleased with our order.  This was such an important session and Megan made it so great from beginning to end. Thanks, Megan!”  Andra H., Monterey, CA.
